tirthankara Definition

A teacher or leader in the ancient religion of Jainism, whose teachings guide spiritual liberation (moksha) through right knowledge, right faith, and right conduct. Tirthankaras are regarded as the teachers who attained enlightenment and founded the path of Jainism.
