homalographic Definition

A term used to describe a mapping preserving parallelism, or a perspective drawing that pretends to show a solid object in three dimensions on a flat two-dimensional surface without perspective distortion. It is also used to describe a projection or mapping that preserves parallel lines, often used in cartography and computer graphics.
