In Ethiopian culture, ghebeta refers to a lowland region, typically arid or semi-arid, located at or below sea level and often associated with the Gambela Region in Ethiopia. It can also refer to the people who live in such regions, or to the marshy, waterlogged areas that are common in these lands.
