A dialetheic is the doctrine in logic and philosophy that some contradictions can be true. That is, in certain cases, both a proposition and its negation can be true simultaneously. For instance, a dialetheic approach might assert that a statement and its negation can both be true in a given context, challenging the classical principle of explosion that a contradiction in a system renders the entire system logically fallacious.
