Pattani Definition

Pattani, also known as Pattani Province, is a province in the southernmost part of Thailand. It lies on the east coast of the Malay Peninsula and is part of the Pattani region, which includes separate territories in southern Thailand, Malaysia, and indicators of an autonomous region in the southernmost part of Thailand. Pattani has a predominantly Muslim population and is a culturally distinct area from the rest of Thailand.
