Oeneus Definition

In Greek mythology, Oeneus (pronounced with stress on the second syllable, "/ˈə.niː.əs/") was a king of Calydon in northeastern Arcadia. He was known for his role in the Calydonian Boar hunt, a myth in which a terrible boar was sent to ravage the land due to his daughter, Atalanta, being excluded from a hunting competition.
