Lakehead Definition

A city in northwest Ontario, Canada, at the north end of Lake Superior. It is located at the confluence of the English River, White River, and the joining of Lake Superior and Lake Hedland, and is an important port and transportation hub. The name combines the words 'lake' and 'head.'
