Kongo Definition

A region in central Africa, straddling the borders of Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Republic of the Congo. Also refers to the Bantu people and culture of the region. It was the site of the Kongo Kingdom, an ancient African kingdom, and is known for its rich cultural heritage including its traditional music, textiles, and art.
