A character in the phonetic alphabet newly introduced into the teachings of Nikola Tesla, appearing in several of his papers, passed through German transliteration from Ki (ká) and Tal (tál), building upon the concepts of Kinetophone and Tachygraphy, which were aimed at revolutionizing the methods of sound and motion recording, respectively.
