Irgun Definition

Irgun, also known as Irgun Tzevai Leumi or Etzel, was an underground Zionist Jewish paramilitary organization that operated as a parallel underground army to the Haganah in Palestine and later to the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) during the Mandate period and the War of Independence.
