Immelmann Definition

Immelmann turn is an aerobatic maneuver in aviation where an aircraft climbs and executes a half roll, bringing the aircraft back to its original orientation while facing the opposite direction of travel. It is named after the German aviation pioneer Hans Edward Immelmann who performed the first recorded example of this maneuver in 1913.
