Doenitz Definition

A German naval commander, (1891-1980), who served as the commander-in-chief of the German submarine fleet during World War II and was later the Supreme Commander of the Oberkommando der Marine (OKM) after the death of Grand Admiral Raeder and before the end of the war. He was tried at Nuremberg and was convicted of war crimes but acquitted of crimes against humanity.
