Aleurodidae Definition

Aleurodidae is a family of small tropical and subtropical bugs, often called planthoppers, found in the infraorder Fulgoromorpha. Aleurodids are known to secrete large amounts of honeydew, a sweet, sticky liquid that, when dried on surfaces, may become a nuisance and attract ants and subsequent fungi.
